After assembly in Teddington talking space careers and trips to NASA, I went to make balloon cars with year 9 at Wimbledon High. We’re taking part in Shell’s Bright Ideas challenge, a ‘STEAM’ competition for 11 – 14 year olds to help design the cities of the future. The world is 2050 and 75 % of the immense global population live in urban environments. Shell are using the creativity of young people to help solve the food, fuel and space issues of the future.
